AAWireless 2 Android Auto adapter to be released this year
AAWireless was one of thousands of exhibitors at CES 2024, in Las Vegas. In front of the global tech industry, we announced the release of our upcoming product: the AAWireless 2.
New design, new features
Before making a definitive prototype, we took time to gather customer input on the design of our new Android Auto adapter. For one thing, it will be smaller and more compact than its predecessor, consistent with the user feedback we received. The most notable difference, however, is a multifunctional button that allows users to enter pairing mode and switch between different phones easily. Besides that, the AAWireless 2 will continue to provide a stable and fast wireless connection with Android Auto™, alleviating users of having to use a cable to connect.
Wireless Android Auto
The AAWireless 2 is a better designed and more user-friendly follow-up to the AAWireless 1 but with the same goal: making wireless Android Auto affordable and easy. CEO Emil Borconi-Szedressy states, “Our focus is to make wireless Android Auto available in as many countries as possible. While there are so many Android Auto users worldwide, most of them don’t know about this technology yet.”
In recent months, we've gradually rolled out a beta version of CarPlay™ support. The AAWireless 2 will also feature the CarPlay™ Beta. Once the beta-phase is concluded, official CarPlay™ support will be released via OTA updates.
Release date and pre-order
While we cannot give an exact release date yet, we can say that the AAWireless 2 will be released in late Q2 or early Q3. Until then, people can still purchase the AAWireless 1, which will remain supported through regular firmware updates even after the release of the AAWireless 2.
People who want to pre-order the AAWireless 2 can subscribe to our pre-order list.
