We started the year by moving the manufacturing of AAWireless from China to Hungary. By moving manufacturing closer to home, we have been able to bring down the costs for us and the customer, allowing us to offer you a more attractive price. We are constantly improving and expanding, and we work hard to make AAWireless as accessible as possible for everyone. We've just started offering our device through Amazon DE aswell! We'll keep you updated.

In 2022, a lot happened. We bid farewell to our Indiegogo page and began selling through our very own website in July. Additionally, we initiated sales of AAWireless via Amazon US in July and expanded to the UK later in 2022. Henceforth, we can offer AAWireless to customers almost worldwide.

After some initial delays, we started shipping our first products in Februari 2021. Shortly after having sent our first 3 batches, the global chip shortage forced us to design an entire new version of the electronics. In October 2021, we produced a batch of 16k units, which were all shipped this year as well.

Without the help from the Indiegogo community we would have been unable to make AAWireless available to the masses. In under a year we received overwhelming support from 40.000+ backers from all over the world. This enabled us to manufacture our first 3.000 devices and make continuous improvements to both the software and hardware.

In the beginning of 2019, Chiel Prins joined our team. We then started porting all the code to Linux and designing custom hardware. This allowed us to eliminate the main variable from the equation. This way we made sure the hardware was the same, giving us full control over the software as well. With this in place, we soon entered into the prototyping stage.

The journey of AAWireless started in 2018 when founder Emil Borconi-Szedressy made a simple app that formed the base of the project. The initial idea was to use a secondary phone or a TV stick. However, this proved to be very problematic due to countless compatibility issues.
