What does a wireless CarPlay adapter do?
A wireless CarPlay adapter is a small device that acts as a bridge between your phone and your car's head unit. The adapter connects wirelessly to your iPhone and sends the signal to your car through its USB port.
After the one-time setup, the adapter connects automatically as soon as your car and head unit start up. CarPlay then appears on your car’s screen.
Does your car only support wired CarPlay? A wireless adapter allows you to make your connection wireless.
Will a CarPlay adapter work in my car?
You can easily check this yourself: connect your iPhone to your car's USB port using a cable. Does CarPlay start? Then you can use the adapter to connect wirelessly. Our wireless CarPlay adapter works with the same USB port you use for wired CarPlay.
Can your car already connect to CarPlay wirelessly? Then you don't need an adapter. Check Apple's official compatibility list to see whether your car supports CarPlay.
Please note: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not the same. CarPlay is designed for iPhones, while Android Auto is designed for Android phones. Do you only use an Android phone? Can I exchange my old AAWireless for a new one?
At this moment in time, AAWireless does not facilitate any trade-in or buy-back programs, or allow for different AAWireless models to be exchanged for a different model. Each AAWireless adapter must be purchased separately.
